DivineDrop Founder's Stroy
I am honoured to share my journey in the honey industry with you. In 2008, I started working in a honey shop in Sana'a, Yemen, where I established connections with trustworthy beekeepers. My passion for honey led me to the UAE, where I worked at Dubai Global Village promoting our Premume Yemeni honey to visitors from all over the world.
Discovering Yemeni Sidr Honey
During my time in Dubai, I had the opportunity to try various kinds of honey from different countries and discovered that Yemeni honey had a unique and divine taste. My passion for honey and its benefits led me to move to Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, where I continued to learn and grow in the industry.
Importing Yemeni Sidr Honey to Australia
In 2018, I relocated to Australia and found some people asking me to bring them the best quality of Yemeni Sidr honey because of its high reputation. However, it took me a while to figure out how to import the authentic Sidr honey directly from beekeepers in Yemen while meeting all the necessary Australian licensing requirements.
COVID-19 Pandemic and Positive Feedback
It was during the pandemic of 2019 when I started selling Sidr Yemeni honey to people from diverse backgrounds who all expressed appreciation for its quality and ability to protect against COVID-19. I sold approximately 200k of this honey and received positive feedback from my customers.
Testing and Establishing DivineDrop
This positive feedback led me to research the science behind the trust and popularity of Manuka honey. I discovered that Manuka honey is UMF or MGO certified, and its rating system provides trust in the quality of the honey. I contacted laboratories in New Zealand and requested to have my Sidr Yemeni honey tested. The lab offered a TA rating, which is similar to the UMF rating for Manuka honey. The results were impressive, with my first batch showing a TA 25+ rating. After sending my second batch of honey for the season of 2022, the results were even more incredible, with a TA 32+ rating. This rating confirmed that my honey is medicinal and prompted me to establish a brand called Divine Drop in Australia, which represents the ethics and quality of Sidr Yemeni honey.
Conclusion
I am confident in the quality and trustworthiness of DivineDrop's honey and I am determined to bring the Yemeni honey industry to the same level of recognition as Manuka honey.
